Hi! I’m Alimere. I’m trying out dreamwidth because I’m trying to have a more ~sociable fandom experience~ and am hoping this’ll be a good platform for that kind of thing. I was a light user of livejournal many many years ago, but have not had much of an online life until getting involved in fandom this year.

I’ll likely post sporadically. Largely, fandom-y posts will be public and real-life-hobbies posts will be private, but I will also decide whether posts are private or public on a chaotic and ad-hoc basis. Say hi if we have mutual interests and I’d be happy to add you!

Hello and welcome to DW! Also, thanks for adding me. It’s great to find another Umineko fan here. Your Lion icon is amazing. (Reminds me I should curate my icon more) Other than Umineko, I also love reading Skip and loafer & crafts (although maybe different from yours, I’m more on the fiber arts side of things?) I mainly write Attack on Titan fanfiction, although most of them have secret Lambda and Bern cameos because… why not. I hope you will have a good time here, everything is chill. Adding you!

Thanks!! And thanks for adding me back :D I was also thrilled to come across someone else who likes Umineko. (I think you’re the first person ever who has recognized my Lion icon right away, haha. They are so dear to me.) I’m in the middle of reading Higurashi right now (mid episode 3), and am very excited to learn more about the lambdabern lore from it (though I love all the characters in their own rights, too.)

Incredible that you include Lambda and Bern cameos in your fics, I love that. In September I wrote a short haikyuu fic with the prompt “bookstore meet-cute” and had the two characters both be fans of… Kotobuki Yukari. They meet at a bookstore event she’s doing :P

I have dabbled a little bit in fiber arts! I did a whole bunch of punchneedle and rug-tufting a few years ago and really enjoyed it, but fell off it for whatever reason. And I sometimes do some crochet and needlepoint but that’s also a bit on-and-off. Would love to enthuse more about WTC or crafts anytime!
